  11. Up until recently I was involved in that field.. The down side, 
  12. depending on system configurations, is that the cable pipeline is 
  13. one-way. It carries a huge load of information to you, but in reply you 
  14. have to have an outgoing modem to send choices back to the control 
  15. system. It's good if you're surfing the Web, not so good if you have to 
  16. shunt huge amounts of data across the country.

  18. Also note that AT&T recently announced some new technology that claims 
  19. to be half the speed of Ethernet over traditional twisted pair, 
  20. supposedly will be available later this year or next. Actual speed 
  21. remains to be seen...
