- Up until recently I was involved in that field.. The down side,
- depending on system configurations, is that the cable pipeline is
- one-way. It carries a huge load of information to you, but in reply you
- have to have an outgoing modem to send choices back to the control
- system. It's good if you're surfing the Web, not so good if you have to
- shunt huge amounts of data across the country.

- Also note that AT&T recently announced some new technology that claims
- to be half the speed of Ethernet over traditional twisted pair,
- supposedly will be available later this year or next. Actual speed
- remains to be seen...
